3) By getting blown out The Brewers "accomplished" #1 and #2 to start the season and pulled an ol' fashion #3 today. Randy Wolf was battered to the tune of 10 hits and 4 ER in 4.0 IP. With the exception of booming home runs by Rickie Weeks and Ryan Braun, the Brewers' offense was as inneffective as the pitching. There is no other way to put it: The Brewers looked like a bad team this weekend. I do not believe the Brewers are a bad team. I believe they will have several stretches of good baseball this summer that will make us forget about their disasterous start. However, the Brewers are not good enough to spot the Reds a three game lead to start the season. Let's hope Miller Park inject them with the mojo they need. |
